At Heronsgate, we believe PE is essential for every child’s wellbeing. Our balanced curriculum helps pupils develop physical skills, build confidence, and enjoy staying active—both in school and beyond.
Primary PE and Sport Premium is an initiative that aims to increase and improve sporting opportunities for children, and we’re proud to use this funding to enrich our provision.
The funding has helped us enhance outdoor learning and physical activity across the school. It has supported the development of our Forest School, enabled us to run on-site swimming lessons for all year groups, and allowed us to invest in high-quality sports equipment—from gym installations to playground gear like balls, skipping ropes, hoops, and racquets.
