Welcome to Heronsgate School—a warm and welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes, where learning, love and laughter are at the heart of everything we do.
Situated in the heart of Walnut Tree, we have proudly served the local community since April 1989. Today, we are home to approximately 350 wonderful children, supported by a dedicated and caring team who nurture curiosity, creativity and confidence in every learner.
Our green and open school site provides a calm and spacious environment where children feel free to explore, play and grow. The extensive grounds include football pitches, an athletics track, trim trails, shade sails, a hard surface playground, a covered reading gazebo, and several smaller play areas. At the centre of our school is a peaceful internal courtyard, home to our much-loved chickens, which bring a special sense of nature and wonder to school life.
Indoors, we offer 15 bright and well-equipped classrooms, along with specialist areas for music, modern foreign languages, art, design technology, and science. Our school hall and library provide further opportunities for children to come together, celebrate achievements and enjoy shared experiences.
We are proud to be part of the Herons' Partnership, working closely with Heronshaw and Heronshill Schools to support families across the Walnut Tree community. As members of the Inspiring Futures through Learning (IfTL) Multi-Academy Trust, we are committed to delivering a high-quality, forward-thinking education that places children's wellbeing and success at the heart of everything we do.
