Heronsgate School and Milton Keynes Education Trust share the sadness expressed by the nation, the Commonwealth and many around the world at the passing of Queen Elizabeth.
Her Majesty’s life was one of dedication and public service; her steadfastness and reassuring presence has seen the nation through both good times and bad and she is rightly held in high regard and deep affection across the United Kingdom and the world.
Queen Elizabeth leaves behind an extraordinary legacy – her inspirational leadership and sense of duty; her capacity for careful listening and her unfailing kindness to all were testament to a woman of great faith, who put her principles into action. Although a person of
much wealth, power and influence, the Queen remained a beacon of grace and dignity, a very private person who above all demonstrated her humility in all she did.
Latterly, her sense of humour and outstanding acting skills endeared her to the nation even more; whether it was parachuting into the Olympic Stadium or sharing afternoon tea with Paddington Bear, Her Majesty was a reassuring and commanding presence in our all lives. She remains an exceptional role model for us and all of our children and young people.
Our condolences and thoughts are with the Royal Family at this saddest of times and we come together sharing the memory of the only monarch we have ever known.
Thank you Ma’am, for everything.
