Heron's Partnership Joint Governing Body
Welcome to the Joint Governing Body of The Herons' Partnership, comprising Heronshill, Heronshaw and Heronsgate Schools. We proudly serve the communities of Walnut Tree and Kents Hill in Milton Keynes.
Our governors are a dedicated group of volunteers who reflect the diversity and values of our school community, including parents, staff and local residents. They play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our schools, ensuring each retains its unique identity while promoting collaboration and the sharing of best practice.
The Local Governing Body meets six times per year as a full board, with no additional committees. Governors support, monitor and evaluate the schools’ performance, helping to deliver a broad, balanced and enriching education for every child.
We are part of the wider governance structure of the Inspiring Futures through Learning Multi Academy Trust (IFtL), which includes Members and a Board of Trustees. This structure ensures robust oversight and alignment with the Trust’s vision and values. Full details of the governance framework can be found on the IfTL governance page at: Governance - Inspiring Futures Through Learning
Julie Whitehead serves as Chair of the Local Governing Body.
If you are interested in becoming a governor, please email Stephanie Boak, IFtL Head of Governance, at sboak@iftl.co.uk. Alternatively, letters may be sent in a sealed envelope marked 'Chair of the Local Governing Body – Herons' Partnership' via the school office.
